So I got an email this morning from the EUSA people, they finally told me what I'm going to be doing over there! I am going to be working in the Women's Studies department at the University College Dublin in their college of Social Justice! I'm really excited, this will be a really good fit for me. The past year at CSU I have done a lot for the awareness and prevention of sexual assault so this will be great! I also took a feminist philosophy class that I very much enjoyed, I still think about it and it has given me different ideas about how to think about the world and people. One of the best things about this job is that I can wear JEANS! HELL YEAH haha, thats right up my alley! I looked up the campus where I will be working it looks nice, modern and pretty, the building I think I'll be in is right next to a lake/pond so that'll be cool. This will just be a great opportunity to see how women are treated in a different country, the problems they face and how they help preventing those problems. Hopefully they are things that I can bring back to CSU and help out with our sexual assault prevention.
Less than two weeks now, and I think my body is really trying hard to not let me go. A few days ago I woke up with a serious fever that eventually wouldn't get lower than 102. I went to the doc and they just got back to me today with the final results, turns out it's a kidney infection. Sucks, I was supposed to make my roommates wedding cake and couldn't, luckily my roommates helped and made the layers, and the day of the wedding I frosted it. She loved it and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out as well! Everyone said it was tasty too, so thats GREAT! But I'm feeling much better and have started packing my room and the house to move, well ha to leave locked in my room so my parents can move! :) Thanks mum and dad!
