A little bumpy but almost there!

So there have been a few bumps in the road but I'm almost on that plane to Ireland, only 21 more days! Vegas was a lot of fun, was really great to see my friend in the military since he deploys soon and I won't see him until February next year :( But it was a big party and had a lot of fun!

I got a call yesterday from the mom of the little girl I met at Give Kids the World in Florida during my alternative spring break last year! I was so excited, I hadn't talked to them in a loooong time! She told me that Carrington (the little girl I met) was nominated to be the grand marshal in a Children's Hospital parade and I should vote for her on facebook! So I'm asking you all to do the same! Here are the steps, login to your facebook, then search Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center, you must "Like" it, then in the photo album section click on the one titled Grand Marshal Finalists! The picture should be a little girl standing with her arms on her hips! THATS CARRINGTON! Go to her picture, read her story then "Like" her picture! This is how you vote! Get everyone to do it!!! Here is a link but you need to be signed into your account so it might not help http://www.facebook.com/lebonheurchildrens?ref=ts

It would mean so much to me if you did that, that little girl was a bright star in my life and always will be! She found me the first day and everyday after that she found me and wanted to hang out! She had the most spirit and passion I have ever seen in a young person, it was wonderful! On the very last day when we were saying our goodbyes she whispers to her mom something and her mom said are you sure!?!! She said YES! So her mom then takes off Carrington's cross necklace and gives it to me, it took everything I had not to cry right then! Carrington said to me, this way we will always be best friends (in the cutest southern accent ever). I thanked her and gave her a hug, when it came time to meet up with my school group again I just burst into tears. I love that little girl more than she'll ever know! I ran my first half marathon for her, wearing her cross! It sits in my car and every time I look at it I think of her smiling face! Thank you Carrington! You are a Doll!!! :)
